We had the good fortune of connecting with Boss Babe Awards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Boss Babe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was to Empower and honor Women as as well as the Lgtbq+ community. I felt like women as well as the lgtbq+ community don’t get recognized enough or not at all. In my eyes everyone deserves their flowers. I wanted to make this an experience for everyone to remember much like the Oscar’s or the Grammys. Eventually I plan to take the Awards to Las Vegas, New York, Dallas & More

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Boss Awards was created in 2019 ready to be launched in September 2020. Due to Covid changing the world we held off until further notice. In 2021 we finally decided to move forward with pushing out the nominees and open the voting poles. The date was set for the first annual Boss Babe Awards in April 2022.

What’s set us apart from others is simple, we created our own Blueprint. I’m most excited about my vision coming into fruition. The live band, celebrity honorees, live performances, private chefs, all of the nominees and venue had a stunning ambiance which included an outdoor awards setting just off the lake & right by the pool. It definitely wasn’t easy but it was worth it & I’ll never forget April 24th 2022.

Just know someone is always watching.. Stay consistent even when no one is clapping.. Be your own biggest fan!! April 30th 2023 is the 2nd annual Boss Babe Awards you never know if your gonna be nominated!!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta’s hottest rooftops, Check out new or popular restaurants, festivals, Networking events, Grand openings, Movie screenings etc. Really anywhere with a great ambiance, great food and live music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Boss Babe Angles which is a anonymous committee of 30 people who selected the nominees, the celebrity honorees who attended the Award show, Wanda Smith. Dondria Nicole, Diamond Atl and Sidney Starr. We also want to thank Dominique Reedy for hosting the first annual Boss Babe awards..
