We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Burgess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is God. I stepped out on faith and wrote 2 children’s books and it was the best decision I have ever made. It hasn’t been easy. The process can take months but with determination and hard work, it has been very rewarding.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a public health professional by day and a writer/actress/producer by night. It isn’t easy balancing multiple careers but it is doable through hard work and dedication. I have written screenplays and children’s books. My first screenplay, the short film FLIPPED, has been well received. My first children’s book has been in Essence Magazine and is on display at Barnes and Noble. I am my own brand, Tiffany Elle Burgess. It is important to know your brand, network with others, and work hard to market your brand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would visit: -The Center for Civil and Human Rights -The Black Lives Matter Mural on the Beltline – Coffee Shops like Urban Grind -The College Football Hall of Fame -Phipps Plaza (shopping and dinner) -Take in a good movie at one of the AMC Theaters

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother deserves a shout out! She reminded me that writing is my God-given talent and encouraged me to use it to inspire others.
