We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Bobby Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Because I can see the opportunities I can get with it. Producing and making beats is my gateway to so many opportunities, from jobs to experiences, and I get to meet so many people like me, with awesome ideas and stories that influence and motivate me more to keep on going. At the same time I’m at the front doors of the music industry, and that can be scary to try to open, but seeing how other people’s paths have guided them and the challenges they faced can definitely help guide me through shallow waters. I’ve been artistic and creative for as long as I can remember so that feels like the easy part in all honesty.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been focusing on making beats for the last three years. I’ve played different instruments growing up from guitar to various percussion instruments. Even though I was able to make music, I just never made my own til I was about 20 years old. I still haven’t released any of it, but maybe someday I will. I’ve been focusing on just the beat making for a while and have quite a few hundred high quality beats just sitting waiting to be sent out. my biggest problem was and still kinda is myself. I get scared to talk to people and ask for emails, and really developing relationships. I really just have to look in the right places and not take anything personally if things don’t work the way you hope them to. Though to put it simply, i’m not looking for anything other then to make some great music with great people when it comes to the creative aspect of it. great music speaks for itself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not really a going out type of person as much as I would like to believe I am. I would go out for a hike in the hills and maybe go out for dessert every night but nothing too specific. Only thing I would really want to do is probably taking the train to a random destination and seeing whatever we come across.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my mom and dad, for always being there for me, my best friend Steve, who pushed me to go to where I never thought I can be, and someone who’s been on my mind recently, my high school counselor Mr. DeBellis, who was a great fatherly figure for me.
