We had the good fortune of connecting with Will Stamm and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Will, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
It was the decision to work ON MYSELF. The moment I took personal ownership for everything that happens in my life is the moment I realized how good life really could get.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a barber by trade. What started out as something to do because my family couldn’t afford to pay for college and I wasn’t very smart in grade school. I have opened my first barber shop “ProFRESHional Cuts” in April of 2010.
I believe what sets us apart is our commitment to starting early we open at 6am for business professional who need to be sharp before work.
I believe how I got to where I am today business-wise is for one the Grace of God and a mentality to be aggressive and consistent.
No it is not easy, but loving what you do makes it fun.
The most important lesson I have learned is the ability to communicate with people. You can multiply your productivity if keep good people around you and listen to them.
At this moment in time I want the world to know we are launching “ProFRESH Barber Academy” right here in Atlanta, Ga in the summer of 2022. Our mission is the cultivate and inspire the next generation of barbers.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Got to visit the Battery, I’m a big brunch fan so Toast on Lenox, The real milk and honey are good for brunch.
My wife and I love capital grille …
Atlantic Station and the whole new west midtown area is a vibe.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a few people I can’t thank enough for their love, support, encouragement.
The first is my wife Jamese, her love, support and continuous encouragement drives me and makes me feel like I can do anything I set out to do.
Next would be my great friend/brother Darrell Hall… he keeps me grounded and provides me incredible perspective as I call him often to talk thru my thoughts and ideas.
The next guy is Kirk Brown. Our friendship/brotherhood is well documented. What started out as client relationship turned into a major supporter of the ProFRESH brand and is now my business partner in a real estate venture.
The last person I would like to shoutout I have only met once. His name is John C. Maxwell. I have read over 15 of his books on leadership and personal development. His teachings have probably had more impact on my life than anything outside of my relationship with Jesus Christ.
