Hi Slim, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
Quitting a job with no savings or any help

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well I’m actually an Upcoming Inspiring Artist from Clinton, La, a small country town 25 miles out of Baton Rouge, La that makes great music. My name is Whitney Bankston and my artist name is Slim Simaa. I’m very different and unique, I have my own style and swag and I’m very down to earth. I’ve overcome some hard struggles physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially but I keep going and praying and I’ve learned to be grateful and just appreciate everything in life. Every heartache, struggle, hurt, betrayal, etc. I also have a clothing brand I’ve been working on which will be dropping soon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
New Orleans, La.. It’s nothing like great down south cooking and seafood in Louisiana and there are great hangout spots and plenty of things to do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Biggest S/O belongs to God of the most High because that’s who’s been helping me through some hard times and is still helping and also a S/O to Mr. Tyler Perry who’s a huge inspiration for me.
