Meet Alexandria Jade | Podcast Host & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Jade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When I think about risk, I see it as an opportunity to bet on myself.
At an early age I always considered myself as a daredevil. Never being afraid to as most would say “shoot my shot”, or take on a role even if I didn’t have the proper experience.
I remember at 19, moving to Atlanta being so afraid that things would not work out for me. I had no experience whatsoever when it came to working in film or behind the scenes. I was a pretty decent video editor, but I knew nothing about the terminology, or flow of set life. My curiosity led me to leaving school to pursue a career in the industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
YES!! So first and foremost, I am a young lady who thoroughly enjoys listening to music. Music is the epitome of what sets me apart from others. I’ve always been capable of finding new songs, new genres, new styles and new stories to tell through music. Although I am not a songwriter or producer, I do have an ear for music and my catalog runs very deep.
“Having It Made” is a podcast that I created during the quarantine. The project started off as a way of expressing myself verbally and musically. I eventually turned the project into a platform where I interview upcoming artist and producers.
The artist can be independent, signed, freelance, it does not matter. We are looking for new music to share and spread globally through the platform.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is so funny to me because Atlanta has a very versatile type of night life and I simply enjoy walking around the park at 2:00 in the afternoon!
I would take my girls to City Winery. Lately that’s been a vibe for me because I do help set up some of the concerts there and the ambience is very fancy and elegant. I also enjoy Piedmont Park. Especially during the summer which is upon us. Last but not least, the car. Yes, I said the car. Night drives in Atlanta are so soothing. The music sounds different, the traffic isn’t too bad, and the city lights just gleam so effortlessly.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! For my shoutout I would like to give thanks to all of the mentors, friends, family members and colleagues that I’ve met during each stage of my life while living here in Atlanta. I can definitely say that it has been a journey, and the further I go on this journey, the better my life gets.
I’ve met so many people that have given me opportunities to elevate and take on more roles. Film friends and colleagues that mention my name in rooms that I’m unaware of. It’s honestly a beautiful feeling.
Personally want to shoutout “The Amazing Stories Foundation Program” founded by Rob Hardy and Nina Packer. I’ve been able to find a group of people that I consider my tribe as well as the wonderful speakers that taught me so much while I attended the program.
