We had the good fortune of connecting with Chesley Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chesley, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is me being myself and a genuine person. The ability to be yourself is powerful because when I show up as myself, my customers can feel it. I feel that my brand is most distinguished by the way I promote my products through the love of my hobbies with roller skating and fitness. My brand is a direct reflection of how I represent myself as a woman. My success is has flown naturally as my brand has grown because being a genuine person that others can trust makes it easy for others to support you. I’m extremely grateful that my success has strictly been based on me being myself. My customers mean the world to me because without them my brand would be nothing. The key to success is just being yourself, promote a excellent product, and allow your customers to flow to your brand naturally!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The biggest thing that sets me apart from others is my ability to turn my passions and hobbies into a brand/business. I’m most proud of my ability to bring out the best in women with my activewear products. I’ve got to where I am business-wise with laying my foundation for my business first with aligning my business structure through the proper channels. It wasn’t easy but using my business credit cards definitely helped me bring my vision for my brand to life. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is no matter how much hate/jealousy you receive while in the midst of promoting your brand, don’t let it stop you! I want the world to know that I’m a young black woman out here turning her dreams into reality!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to Fin & Feathers to eat in Marina del ray, CA. Definitely a stroll and roller skate at Venice Beach skate park. The best hike is at Runyon canyon. We could go shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles, CA. Also, take a Hollywood tour to see some memorable attractions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would like to give credit and recognition to God for giving me the strength to create my business. Before anything I am a woman of God and I’m grateful that I put my faith in him to lead me on the right path to success. Second, I would like to give thanks to my parents for giving me life and instilling great values in me to be the woman I am today. Third, thanks to my supporters that believed in my brand before it became what it is today!
