Hi Quanisha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I came up with my business idea, I was recovering from having cosmetic surgery. I was having a hard time getting the materials I needed as well as getting around. Since cosmetic surgery is becoming popular, I came up with the idea to conveniently package the items so that when girls ( also guys) are preparing they will not have to bother going store to store. I provide just enough to cover the recovery process which can help the patient save money.

What should our readers know about your business?
Recovery Babe is a business where I provided post operative recovery materials for girls/guys like myself who have decided to have a Brazilian butt lift, liposuction, and/or fat transfers. These items are packaged together like a care package to make the recovery process easier, safer, convenient and cheaper. Some items I provide are BBL pillows, BBL chairs, and medical supplies such as Tylenol, gauze, and gloves just to name a few.

When I got cleared for surgery in May 2021 I ran all over Atlanta at the last minute trying to get materials I needed. There was also things that could of helped me but I was not informed or I received them too late. My business is here to be informative and convenient for girls/guys during this life changing experience. The surgery process can be hard mentally and physically and I want everyone to know I am someone who is here and who cares. Having cosmetic work done is also expensive so there should be a focus on protecting the investments you work hard for.

It was not easy to get here since I do market to a certain demographic, but every risk I have taken has been worth it. I do not let things like backlash from critics or not getting an order for the day discourage me. I wake up every morning knowing that there is someone out there who needs me because when I was preparing for surgery I needed someone like me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am new to Atlanta, and since COVID is letting up I have began to explore the city a little more. I enjoy going to Ponce City Market and Krog Street. I am able to eat good and there is always a variety of cultures and flavors. Bar Vegan is my favorite place for drinks and a nice vibe. Why visit Atlanta and not visit a night time bar such has Cheetah or Magic City? Cheetah has upgraded their club and the food is always good. Going to Magic City for wings can turn into a movie and meeting a celebrity. Fun and exciting people are all over Atlanta
