We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Serrano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, I’m going to have to say God. When I first found this skill set I have, I didn’t know what to do with it. I had to seek guidance from my spiritual leader to gain the confidence and to understand how i should move. After prayer and seeking answers, my spiritual leader came to me and blessed me with the words of encouragement to move forward with my business and that God blessed my hands and my vision to create amazing art. And in the same conversation, she gave me my business name… “Restor2glory Kicks”. From that point on it only made sense! I approach every project with seeking God to give me the vision to make the best art for each pair of shoes. My success so far goes to Him. And I know He has more in store for the future of my business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I try not to follow trends as much. I admire other artist out here, I’m actually all for the movement. But in the same sense, I see a lot of trends and kind of the same designs being done. I’m not the one to do what others are doing. I like to stand out or create a 1 of 1 type design. I like that after every creation, I basically feel like I out do myself from my pervious work. Which is a great feeling! Becoming that confident in my work was not a easy journey. It came with many mistakes and me understanding what I did wrong and how to improve it. I can honestly say that I’m still learning till this day. I always have room for improvement. Room to become greater. And thats what Restor2glory is all about… growth! We strive to create the best art for our customers. Weather we bring your vision to life or we create a vision of our own!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This city is full of excitement! Plenty of places to go and have a good time. Some of my favorite spots that i would take someone too would be The Hive on Buckhead, Milk & Honey, Club Onyx, Andrettis, State Farm Area, Braves game, Piedmont Park, Copelands, Little Five Points, The Mall of Georgia, IPIC, The Painted Pin, Ponce City Market, etc…

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give credit to those who have been with me and supported this whole journey… Anika Truss, I thank you for being my support/spiritual leader/consultant/everything when it comes to my business. You have really been a huge help in the success of Restor2glory Kicks. Have to shoutout my family who always supports by sharing post, shameless plugging my business in somewhere, handing out cards, etc… I appreciate all of you!
