Hi Shanny, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
Ha! Wow. Honestly, I am still figuring out what I would like that to be. All I am certain of is that I want, when people hear my words, read them, view my journey, along the way, that they feel my soul in it all.

I just want them to remember me. That’s all.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hi … (awkward laugh)… I am Shanny. I am a singer and songwriter from Delaware. I’ll just dive in … For me, artistry and creativity have special healing powers. When you are given a gift of such, you owe it to yourself to master it. I believe it would have been a disservice to myself if I didn’t. I am a storyteller and the beautiful part about creating art and sharing it with the world, is that it has a chance to connect with so many others from all over. Others have felt or feel what I feel from the words of my songs. That is what I love most. In making the choice to pursue my artistry beyond the four walls of my room, it was not an easy choice and the journey can be rough. Rough because it consisted of many sacrifices. I am proud of all of them because it brought me to where I am today. I overcame my challenges through faith and a focused mind. With those two things, I have had the opportunity to learn so many valuable lessons along the way.

I want the world to know that my artistry comes from my soul and I just want to be remembered.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anywhere in Atlanta is a great choice. I am still learning the city myself. If you are an open mic junkie like myself, I would definitely recommend TakeOff ATL, Music Mondays ATL, Showtime Exclusive, Kat’s Cafe, and the list goes on.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
