We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamika Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamika, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is no matter what obstacles I face, never quit. Every set back had a rewarding comeback.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I chose to be a nail tech January 2020. I went out on a leap of faith and from that moment forth I’ve enhanced my skills, gained clientele, followers, amazing opportunities, and more! I wouldn’t change my decision for nothing! There were plenty of challenges I faced, but I overcame every last one of them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d have to have a personal chef that I know make us a great brunch. We’d then have to visit all of the fun places in downtown Chicago, including navy pier. We’d have to have dinner at the signature room on the 94th floor or Texas de Brazil.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my little sister Breyuanna and my friend/spiritual mentor YaYa. Throughout this whole journey they’ve been so helpful and encouraging.
