We had the good fortune of connecting with Author K. Reshay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K. Reshay, what inspires you?
I am inspired by life. We go through so much. It’s inspiring to see the process of getting through life’s ups and downs.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I look back over my life, I’ve always been a creative person. I started writing at the age of eight. I started writing short stories and gradually moved towards poems. I was the kid in all of the creative classes. I was the kid in the school plays. I love the art of story telling.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is to believe in myself. I doubted myself for so long but once I realized that writing was my gift, I’ve never looked back.

I want the world to know that I was here. That I left my mark that will be here long after I’m gone. I left something that cannot be erased. That’s powerful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the city of Atlanta. It is rich with culture and tradition. I’d definitely visit a comedy club. The Botanicals can be a nice day trip. Can’t forget the history of Dr. King. A visit to his church, old home, and memorial is a plus. The Aquarium is a nice day trip. And I can’t forget Steak Market ATL.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God,

The creator of all things. I thank God the for giving me the gift of writing and the determination to succeed against all odds.
