We had the good fortune of connecting with Tierra Shelton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tierra, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have ALWAYS been an artistic person. I mean, I’m a Libra, so we’re creative by nature. I have always loved art, music, fashion. Anything that allows you to use self expression is a plus.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner of Mobb Beauty Studio located in Birmingham AL area. I specialize in lash extensions, makeup, permanent cosmetic makeup, body sculpting, and the list is growing. I had to start from the bottom just like a lot of people. Entrepreneurship is not always easy. You could be making thousands one month and the next the money is coming in slow. That is when you need to keep it strategic to keep your money flowing in.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a hard one. Honestly, I would say the Downtown Birmingham area. It is growing tremendously. There are lots of places to eat, little coffee shops, and clubs/lounges.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my family and friends!
