We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Iyanu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I created Grapvics because during the pandemic, I wanted to find a way to have a outlet while also finding something to keep me entertained. I knew I wanted something that allowed me to be creative but didn’t take up as much time as painting or sketching.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With Grapvic’s, I’m very excited to see how much I can grow in graphics. Although I’ve only been actively working on this brand for less than a year, I’m proud to see how far I’ve been able to come in such a short amount of time. I’ve been able to learn more about myself as an individual and just how much goes into developing a successful brand/business. I’m also learned how important it is to be able to gain credibility through outside support.

I hope with my brand that I’m able to help people realize that you should take that leap. If you know there’s something out there that you want to do, but you’re scared? Do it. And as long as you’re willing to put in the work and believe in and love what you’re doing, everything will fall in place as it should.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I just moved back to the city and I’m still figuring out nightlife in Atlanta. But if I’m out with my girls for a weekend, it’s only right to start off with Brunch ! I’m thinking either Fin & Feathers or somewhere with bottomless mimosas. Knowing us, we’d go to TikTok to other places to go to to fill our weekend.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First & foremost, I would like to recognize my friend Dani Kirkland for giving me the name for my business. I would also like to thank my friends and family who continue to support me and help me grow in my craft
