Meet Maiyana Lewis | Nail Tech

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maiyana Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maiyana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind staring my own business was very personal for me. I remember being a little girl and always wanting my nails to be done different ways or different colors. But , of course I was too young to get them done so I would always ask for fake press on nails from the store. Eventually , being an adult I still found myself wearing press on nails, along with acrylic full sets but I soon realized I was a girl who wanted to change her nails every other week , haha. So soon came the thought of doing my own nails. I played around with different acrylics and colors just practicing on myself and others and after about a few months i knew i really had something . So then following that I came up with Always Pressed. A press on nail line that caters to all women , and all nails: we make quality customized affordable nail sets for your everyday wear and your girls night out! It’s really convenient to be able to change your nails when or if you need to , it could be a photo shoot day or a trip to Miami! You may want nails to match every outfit you have and that’s okay! We got you covered!
I always say if your nails aren’t Always Pressed they should be!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Getting to where I am now was definitely not easy. I started out with a bunch of product I absolutely hated! But that’s trial and error for you! After doing some research and really finding what I wanted I knew I was set to go. I want people to know even if things seem slow or you feel like it may not work trust in your vision! I did. It’s definitely still a work in progress but it’s only up from here! No matter how short or how long , Always Pressed does it all! I mean … it does say Always! Not only that but we offer nail sets with a gel base as well as acrylic . Pre made designs and custom made.
Nails definitely keep me busy but I’ve been putting my talents into other areas that I cannot wait to share with you all! So follow all social media and stay connected!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the outdoors so I definitely would check out a waterfall! Not a lot of people know it but there are a bunch of cool places that have waterfalls in Georgia . One of my favorite places to go has been Blu Rose Art Bistro in Douglasville . They have great food and drinks that never miss! They play great music and the artwork is wonderful!
I’m always down for good food so I would check out Roc South Cuisine! If you wanna eat and have some fun all at once Punch Bowl Social is a great place to go! And I love sweets so , I would try Kilwins or Cinnaholic! . And of course , experience the nightlife! It’s Atlanta! So there’s always a party to go to!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shout-out to anyone out there with a plan for yourself, even if you don’t know where to start. Your story was already written! You just have to tell it. It’s all or nothing. Don’t focus on the in-between.
