We had the good fortune of connecting with Trecia Beaubrun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trecia, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I believe the most important thing that I’ve done for my children is create more time to be an active/involved parent. Work ;life balance is challenging for sure, but because I chose the path of entrepreneurship I have the capability of creating a schedule that works for my family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TB Events is an event planning company. We specialize in any special occasion such as Birthdays, Weddings, Baby showers, Corporate events etc. You name it we do it! I’m most excited about my growth as an individual and business owner as the two play hand and hand. What sets me apart from others is my authenticity, integrity and passion. I truly enjoy making people smile and making sure each event is memorable, My passion for event planning started after planning my very own wedding and receiving such positive feedback, therefore I decided to increase my knowledge base and complete a certification course in event planning.. Being an entrepreneur has taught me many lessons! One of them is to not expect people to believe in me, believe in myself! Also, my time is important, and while I want to give the most reasonable prices I can to clients, I have to make sure to value myself and my work. Not every client is right for me and I’m not right for every client and that is okay. I learned it is important to take time to discover who you are, be proud of who you are, and to be patient with yourself as you grow.. Never be afraid to be a student learning from others is beneficial in many ways!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were to visit the area our itinerary would look like this: Brunch with good music and vibes ( Toast on Lenox, Negril, Nana’s Chicken n waffles). We would also walk the beltline and Visit Ponce city market rooftop. Self care is my favorite thing to do so we would go to the spa (JEJU or Exhale) Just a few of my favs. Because there is so much to explore in Atlanta or Metro Atlanta we would definitely need a couple of days. For Attraction I would visit the African American museum of civil rights. Coca cola factory and much more!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout to my family, friends and clients. Without their continued support TB Events wouldn’t be what it is Today. I specifically would like to give a shout out to my husband who is one of my biggest supporters. Also my sister Amanda and Mom who have helped me tremendously with many events (They have been my team). I’m most grateful for my kids who I look at everyday and they give me that extra push and don’t even know it, Thank you to each person who has supported my business whether it was through booking a service, referring clients, social media shout out ,being a listening ear or assistance with business ventures. Your support never goes unnoticed and means the most. Special recognition to my friend Ivana for mentioning me to Voyage ATL and most importantly thanks to Shout Out Atlanta for this opportunity.
