We had the good fortune of connecting with Ty Alsandor and Malik Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ty and Malik, every day, we talk about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Initially we wanted to create an online sneaker magazine. Our business was to provide the most updated information regarding sneakers, releases, and news. However, as our following grew we wanted to expand our business and start offering our own merchandise. That’s how our first collection ‘Stay Fresh’ got it’s start. Now we release loungewear annually under the ‘Stay Fresh’ brand.

What should our readers know about your business?
Sole Sobriety is a online sneaker magazine and clothing brand. We first started in 2019 with our first collection of merch dropping in 2020.. Our motto is quality over quantity and we strive to provide our customers with the best materials and fabrics there are. One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is to stay consistent. We want the world to know that no matter what we always keep our designs and clothes authentic.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I would take them a few places. First, we would probably hit up Goodtimes or Full Circle to do some shopping. Slide to Ponce for a few drinks then go get some wings at Jr Crickets or American deli. Then if the weather is nice we might go to Little Five points. Then later that night go to Onyx and catch a vibe.
