We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Being a hairstylist/artist gives me the freedom to be myself at all times. I’m able to express myself through my work and bond with clients on various levels. Not to mention, it also allows me to have a healthy work/life balance which is very important to me. I actually wake up everyday looking forward to work because I genuinely enjoy what I do. I’m an artist at heart and being a hairstylist has always been a sincere passion of mine.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the owner of Meshella Rose Hair Extension Boutique located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. We sell premium Virgin extensions and have licensed stylists that specialize in installing hair extensions available for appointments. I’m mostly proud about being able to build a solid foundation and client base from the bottom as a new stylist. No matter how challenging things became, I’ve always stayed consistent and continued my journey with grace. Now, I’m at a place in life where I’m receiving the fruits of my labor. I personally designed my salon to be luxurious and welcoming for my clientele to enjoy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My clientele is like my family, and nearly half of them visit me from other cities. With this being said, my assistant and I have a compiled list of places for them to visit when they come to Atlanta. There are so many options to choose from depending on the desired vibe that they’re going for. For starters, brunch on the weekends at Blaqhaus ATL is one of my favorites. They have a well diverse menu with endless mimosas and a live Dj. They also have their famous Taco Tuesdays where they introduce Karaoke Nights with fun vibes. Another place that I would recommend for brunch is Gocha’s Breakfast Bar. As for dinner vibes, I love Steak Market for their luxury vibes and their famous gold tomahawk steak and bomb cocktails with smokey dry ice. Divan’s is another spot that I enjoy. They have mediterranean vibes with hookah and the best lamb chops in the city. There are so many more places to add, but these are some of my favorites.
