We had the good fortune of connecting with Seãn Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Seãn, what do you attribute your success to?
I think what makes people sit up and pay attention is the caliber that I hold Cigar Conversations® to. My benchmark is and has always has been that of the network because that’s the first of a few stops to my end goal. When I did my logo, I gave it a facelift after a few years because I wanted it to stay “fresh” after that I added an actual customized soundtrack that speaks to the show.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always loved traveling and I’m a big foodie so curating a conversation about life over cigars, pairing libations while educating other individuals on many levels, and traveling to different longes/restaurants was how I came up with Cigar Conversations® Now, this may look fun but it’s not for the faint of heart because I lost my mother last year and that set everything back 6 to 8 months but I had to push on as I heard her Jamaican accent in my head saying “suh yuh just gonna sit around and waste yuh time?”. You need to have patience and a money manager like my Project Manager Dr. Lisa Richards who says no to my “high-falutin” ideas then figures out how to get it done for less.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For Sushi; Sushi Nami in Sandy Springs and Tomo located in the Ritz Carlton Residences
For steaks NY Prime and The Club at Chops
For Jamaican/African fusion and offers a cigar-friendly side for after-dinner cocktails, it would be ContinentAtl.
For the experience with a Turkish flare of the famous “Salt Bae” the Turkish butcher Nusret Gokce, I’ve enjoyed the Steak Market for this.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say without hesitation my immediate circle of friends and associates keeps me grounded and focused. One of the longest supporters on many levels has been my dear friend and BOTL (Brother Of The Leaf) Dave Rocker, also Nancy Johnson, and Carnellia Ajasin of the Urban League.
