We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Soriano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, how do you define success?
Success is being genuinely happy with where you are in life. Success is being proud of what you have accomplished. It doesn’t matter how you got there but the end result is what matters. Success is being healthy despite everything going on around the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It all started as a hobby back in 2009. I was a teen mom and full time student at the time and I was in search of a dessert table for my Daughter’s birthday. I remember reaching out to a small business and the price was just not in my budget so then I decided to DIY the dessert table. Everyone loved it and it was so special because I had made it for my daughter! Fast forward to years later, During the pandemic I took the leap of faith to turn it into a business. I received so much support from family and friends from

Day 1. I did face a challenge a few months after. My original business name was Berry Couture and I had to change it because of copyright reasons. I waited too long to change the name on Instagram that my business page was shut down. I thought I had been hacked, but then realized it was because of legal reasons. I was honestly devastated and I wasn’t sure if I should continue with the business at all. After a lot of thinking I decided to relaunch my business page as Fresa Couture. It was hard but I didn’t let that stop me. I want the world to know that my desserts are made with extra love as if it were for my kids.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love FOOD! So anything with delicious food has to be in my itinerary.. I love visiting Ponce City Market! It has everything in one place! Food, shopping, and fun activities!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Shout out goes to my Family! They have been my number one support and customers! They sold me out the first week I started! They are my food testers and always help me brainstorm ideas! They are simply the best!
