We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had some music written that I loved and wanted to share with the world. I had always wanted to be in a band and the more I got into starting one the more I realized how much of a business it actually is. So I embraced the role of business owner/band leader out of pure necessity and started learning everything I needed to learn along the way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We wanted to make music that combined elements of several genres of rock and metal into one cohesive sound that has a little something for everyone, but mainly something that each of us writing the songs would enjoy and want to hear in other music. It’s been a slow build over a few years now but we take it one step at a time and focus on the present. It’s not a race and everyone gets their time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I usually don’t leave my house unless I have to, but I’d probably take them to Piedmont Park and eat some food around Midtown. Maybe go to a movie or Six Flags or a United game or a concert at The Masquerade.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my bandmates in Satyr, Brody Smith and Janald Long, for helping me realize this vision and making great music with me. As well as our manager Monyea for believing in us and fighting for us.
