We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazzy Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazzy, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balance! What is that? Hahaha, ironically I started my company “Always Working” because that’s all I did; work!

In my early 20’s, I was in survival mode. I was almost done with college but not motivated to finish so I took a long break before going back to graduate. Once I discovered the world of working to fund my dreams, bad spending habits and excessive trips, I knew I had the key; work hard and live harder.

Fast forward to 29, I began to realize that I was caught in a cycle of working to have fun but not actually making enough money to live responsibly and still fund my bad but fun habits of living it to the fullest.

In 2017, I started “Always Working Jobs” as a consulting company with a vision to build a life for myself that would allow me to live life on my own terms. It took years, up until 2020 to start actually making money from my company/side hustle. In the most of building my business, I worked around the clock, was a wife, step mother and the other many roles that us women play. I was EXHAUSTED!

Previously, I had taken pride in being such as hard worker but as I grew into full womanhood it became apparent that life was about balance. It was important to work but not work too hard, make time for family, have fun but not too much fun and then lastly, I had to learn how to make time for “ME” I felt like a mess.

Now, here in 2022 I have learned to put my own well being first so that I can pour into others, including my family, my child and then my company vision and clients. I now promote side hustle careers as a new career option for young and middle aged adults to help my friends, family and hopefully thousands of not millions of others discover the same freedom I found. How to make six figures or more money on your side hustle than a lot of corporate jobs. It’s not just company to me, it’s a mission and a vision. I don’t want anyone to be trapped in a cycle of life or exhaustion without true happiness, rest and fulfillment.

Balance is an everchanging thing, as life changes we must adjust and that’s ok. We just can’t get caught up in thinking that unhappy phases of our lives are permanent, we have the power, resources and opportunities to change just about everything around us.

What should our readers know about your business?
Always Working Jobs is a unique mixture of mentorship, career development and job board offerings for hiring companies that people otherswidd would not know about.

This year we have kicked off the “Side Hustle University” mentorship program that walks others through the exact steps I used to turn my Consulting side hustle into a 6 figure company..

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a low key person who loves good every and music. If that is your speed I recommend any of the Del Friso’s or just a chill day in peidmont park or hiking in the Dunwoody area. Im pretty laid back.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I would like to shout out my good friend Larry Reid. He is a serial entrepreneur who owns a successful tax business and many other ventures that have provided opportunities for others.
