We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaymie Immel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaymie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I beleive that any good business owner needs to have their personal values be one of the most important pillars of their business to make them successful. This is the compass by which we end up making all of our business decisions. The two values that I choose to live by are Kindness and Integrity.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the Founder of Magic Moonchild which I started in March of 2021. I offer intuitive Tarot readings, Reiki healing and Soul Purpose Coaching. In 2020 I was lucky enough not to lose my 9-5 job, however due to the severe emotional impact that the pandemic had, I found myself more unhappy and unfulfilled than ever before. I made the decision to quit my 9-5 in August of 2020 due to a very toxic work environment that had spiraled me into a deep depression. That decision was the turning point for me. As soon as I let go of the idea of success that society puts on us, everything changed for me. It took me a short 2 months before I realized that I wanted to work in an industry that helped, healed and expanded people. I wanted to use my gift of intuition and my compassion to create a space where people could find themselves, love themselves and live the life of their dreams. I struggled with self esteem issues my entire life, however in my own personal healing journey I was able to look at all the pieces of myself and learn to love them. This is extremely important as a business owner. I have to be able to stand firm in who I am.
I grew up in a home without a lot of love, without a lot of encouragement, without much safety. I know that there are many people who grew up or are growing up like I did, and I want to be a beacon of hope for them. My clients receive a safe, loving and empowering container to grow and heal. I am certain that this is what I was put on this planet to do. To help raise the vibration of the collective and also give love to anyone who thought they didn’t deserve it as a child.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Santa Cruz, Ca. A beautiful little beach town, so I would of course take anyone who visits me to the Beach, State Park Beach is my favorite. Its where the historical cement ship sits just off the pier. I would take them to the Harbor Café for the best breakfast in town. A hike in the Redwoods is a must, Big Basin State Park is the home of some of the largest trees in the US. We would have dinner on the Santa Cruz Wharf, where you can get some of the best seafood in the entire bay area. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a total blast too, rides, games, food, shopping and a huge arcade. The best part about living where I do is the fact that you are a 20 minute drive away from the beach, the forest or town, no matter where you are.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shout out to my Intuitive Mentor Emily the Mystic. Emily has an amazing way of helping you release any fear or doubt that you may have about yourself that will hold you back from achieving the life or goals that you want. Her work with the Akashic Records really opened me up to be an amazing intuitive. Just being in her life is a gift, but to learn from her is priceless.
