We had the good fortune of connecting with Kourtney Galloway and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kourtney, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite affirmation is I am clear and conscious, awake and aware. I think we forget that affirmations aren’t always things we are currently walking in, but reminders of things we want to strive towards. I’m not always clear and conscious. There are times where I move without thinking. But I always choose to speak things that aren’t as though they were.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The reason I chose artist/creative is because I don’t fall into one category. I am a blogger, web designer, and marketing/personal assistant. I love to expand my horizons and learn new things. I’m constantly challenging myself to put my hands on and create new things. My main goal in all that I do is to inspire. Has it been easy? Definitely not. There are times when I question if I’m doing the right thing or if I’m being influential to anyone. In those moments, God always chooses to remind me that what I am doing with Freedom Revamped (my blog) and all the other brands I work with, has nothing to do with me but everything to do with the Kingdom.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Pre-quarantine, I would definitely recommend these places in Columbus, GA: River Flow Yoga and Wellness. It’s an amazing space to be surrounded by people who are working on themselves. I also love the River Walk Downtown The scenery is beautiful and Your Pie is near so we can grab a bite to eat. Lastly, if you need your hair done check out Transformation Salon with Arlene Embola.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are definitely a LOT of people I could speak on. However, in this present moment I feel it is most important that this answer goes to my mother and sister. I grew up in a single-parent household and at times where I feel my lowest, I know these are the two people who I can go to. They’re always there to support me and condemn me when I’m wrong by leading me back to the right path.
