Meet Yishaq (Isaac) Poole | Luxury Brand Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yishaq (Isaac) Poole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yishaq (Isaac), what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking has been a very important role into my life. I truthfully do believe in high risk, high reward the reason why is because for me it puts me into a work where I have to depend on my own abilities and it removes excuses.
I believe people can take calculated risk. In my life what other people would see as a high risk move I see it as a calculated risk. Because I am not afraid to take the risk it has put me into a position to excel my work faster.
Moving out of my hometown into my first apartment with complete strangers was a risk. But I do believe it was a good risk to take for my photography career and journey and I would not change it at all!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a luxury photographer. The things I love to photograph are fashion, beauty, and commercial. Lighting and the story you tell has always been the most important thing to me when photographing images.
Truthfully, I believe lighting and the ability to tell a story truly does set my work apart from lots of other people. Another thing is that I have never been one to care about having all of the latest and greatest equipment. The mind is what limit your abilities in my opinion.
Overcoming is something you have to so when chasing a dream in the arts. I do that by reading the Bible and talking to spiritual people. I keep my spirit high and it gives me the fuel to keep pushing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I best friend was in town, I am a nature person so honestly we would go to Piedmont park, and visit one of my favorite mountains.
Since I moved here I honestly haven’t done to much in the city yet to have a full itinerary! My focus have been really growing my name in photography.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This journey is not possible without having faith. I really want to give thanks to my father (Pastor George Poole) for installing faith in me at such a young age and giving me a work ethic to keep going. My step mother (Lisa Poole) has also really helped me into growing the faith. My birth mother (Cynthia Bryant) has played a big role into how I think about creativity today.
The most influential book I will have ever read has played a major role as well, that book is the Bible. The reason why I love the Bible so much because when you read it, it make you feel whole no matter what your situation in. It has been so many times where I was down and the Bible always has the right thing to just keep me pushing.
