We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I didn’t really think about it I just did it. I. Was already doing what I love so my thoughts were why not make this into a career. I started off providing services for my family and friends once I got comfortable I started offering to complete strangers. I always knew I wanted to work for my self and my my own money it was just a matter of when I wanted to take it serious.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from other is my passion everybody does hair but not everyone have the passion for it.

Im most proud of the fact I never gave up I remember when my only clients were my family and no one was booking but I kept promoting myself on social media and let my work speak for itself.

I got to where I am today because I never gave up I keep pushing even when I feel like doing hair was not enough.

It’s was not a easy process I leave to trust the process and what’s for you will be for you.

I want the world to know I love what I do And that I’m a fighter I don’t give up so easy and im a boss.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Great question I love being outside so I would have to say my bestie would have the time of her life. Our first stop would have to be down town we can go to a few restaurants or channel side. If I wanna unwind I would definitely go to main course in Tampa the food is amazing and the drinks also hookah definitely a vibe. Then on the weekend we at some Jamaican party because that’s where I can be my full authentic self.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I wanna thank God for blessing my hands. Then thanks to my family and friends for allowing me to use them as a test dummy for all these years.
