We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacki Kash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacki, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve learned that you have to identify and carve out time for what’s really important and in my case, allow time to disconnect from work in order to have a healthy balance between work-life, family, self-care, and relationships. Over time, I’ve given myself permission to have work-life balance, realizing that it’s necessary for my mental and physical well-being. And, when I’ve been unable to do that due to my work, it’s usually a signal that change is needed. I think of balance as devoting the necessary time and energy to any areas that need attention, while not allowing any one area that to overshadow the fact that I must make sure I’m healthy mentally, physically and emotionally fit.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Currently, I’m working on building a real-estate investing firm, Legacy Lane Properties, where I buy, sell, and lease Mobile Homes, I also have a bath & body line called Peach Bliss, where I create all-natural fragrances, soaps, body scrubs, and body butters in addition to being a contributing member of Youth On The Move Radio Show/Podcast. I began my journey writing in middle school, this planted the entrepreneurial seed for me to write and publish a book, launch a radio show, host women empowerment events and be apart of the Youth on The Move Radio Show/Podcast. I’ve been building my brand for the past 20 years, and I want the world to know that if you can dream it, you can do it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has some great restaurants and attractions, like Mary Mac’s for delicious soul food, Centennial Park, the Georgia Aquarium, or for an out of this world vegan experience, check out Slutty Vegan, just to name a few.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to first Shoutout the Life-Coaches and mentors that have helped me during the transitional periods in my life that have paved the way for me to end up on the entrepreneurial course I’m on today where I create a life that represents the true me: Valorie Burton, Sanyika Calloway-Boyce, and Misa Hylton and a huge Shoutout to my family and friends for supporting my dreams.
