We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas Arzie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicholas, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I’ve always said, “ If you wake up everyday and do what you love, then you are successful. “ To me, success isn’t always money. I love taking pictures; I wake up everyday and get my hands on a camera. Therefore i consider myself successful. I’m going to take pictures whether i get paid or not.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been shooting for about 7 years now. Honestly 6.5 years I’ve only been shooting on the side and working a normal full time job. It was always a hobby and side hustle for me. But as years went on, i started to take photography more serious. Overtime i began to network a lot, meet new people, meet new creatives, build clientele. And at the same time all of that was happening i was starting to find my niche with the whole photography thing. I then started to feel like i was way too talented to work these full time jobs. I always thought i should be out creating art instead. So in late 2020 i made the leap of faith and started taking photos full time! The journey since then started rough, but now it’s looking good for me. A lesson i learned was definitely that you can do whatever you put your mind to!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Really just shout out to all of my photographer homies that been with me along this journey! Way to many names to list but they know who they are
