We had the good fortune of connecting with Fatima Barnes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fatima, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the my success is the daily practice of gratitude. Keeping myself in a state of gratitude allows me to enjoy the journey. It can be quite difficult to keep going when things get hard, but by maintaining a consistent state of gratitude, it gives the boost I need to keep going. Oftentimes we can get so caught up on where we want to be that we forget to stop and take a moment to enjoy who we are and what we do in the present. I have found that gratitude actually welcomes in more opportunities, creativity, and abundance and it has helped me tremendously as an entrepreneur and in life.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a coaching and consulting company. I help stagnant beauty brands struggling to grow, relaunch as a premium and profitable brand without guesswork, overwhelm, and without posting like crazy on social media. I do this by leveraging the power of a full business makeover and by breaking down the old and outdated systems and replacing them with proven strategies that set them up for success. What really sets me apart from others is my approach. I work to really help those brands struggling take a step backwards and establish a true foundation of their business so that they can build a business and brand authentic to them. I show them how to bring their zone of genius to their business and really stand out., Most people that come to me struggling in sales think marketing is their only issue, but it’s usually not the issue. So I take the approach of building their systems, establishing premium branding, and creating a customer attraction model so that they never have to wonder where their next customer is coming from. Our goal is to teach business acumen and mindset strategies so that my clients are set up for success. I personally feel just teaching marketing alone without establishing a true solid business model and process is NOT the answer alone and that’s why we are different. I work closely with my clients to ensure they are implementing along the way. I don’t believe just providing a course full of information. My goal is for my clients to receive transformation toward their goals. I am most proud of how much The Ambition Academy has evolved and literally started from nothing and now has grown to a team of 5 and in such a short time we have found amazing ways to level up our client experience and ensure we’re making their lives as easy as possible. We have now added branding and design services so they don’t have to even worry about finding a web and branding designer and more recently we’ve added technology services where our team sets up their entire system so that they don’t have to. I take a lot of pride in my craft and invest very heavily into it as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s so many things I would do with my best friend here for the week, but I would take them to food places more than anything as my favorite thing to do is eat. We’d go to Pretty Little Taco, Grindhouse Burgers (we love burgers), Little Alley Steakhouses, The Bando, The Rowdy Tiger Kitchen and Bar. and ABC Chicken and Waffles. We’d hang out in Midtown and shop at the Phipps Plaza Mall. We’d also visit the World of Coca Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, The Selfie Museum, Old Mill Park and more. it is just so much to do I wouldn’t even know where to start and begin. Atlanta is just such an amazing city with so many amazing people. Every day I am here I find something else new and exciting about this city!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
While I have had many supportive and amazing coaches, mentors, and friends on my journey. I would like to shoutout my amazing and supportive husband and I dedicate without a shadow of a doubt my shoutout. My husband has been my biggest cheerleader. He’s wiped my tears, he’s encouraged me to keep going, and he believed in me when no one else has. It takes a lot for some men to have such an ambitious and driven woman, but my husband has always wanted me to fly.
