We had the good fortune of connecting with Mika Ortiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mika, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.

How about I tell you two books that come to mind. “Outwitting The Devil” & “No Excuses” by Brian Tracy. “Outwitting The Devil” Gave me different insights on things that can hold us back from success. Nothing comes easy; everyone would be doing it if it were easy. Suppose you can’t control Temptation; you’re not being loyal to yourself. Temptation is a sign of Weakness & Weakness is not needed on your way towards success. “No excuses” is just that, none whatsoever, only solutions. When encountering situations, your first question should always be on how to resolve this rather than dwell on it. Making the best and finding the good, in any case, Is key.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite thing to do is hiking. Stone Mountain is pleasant and great to visit if you are into nature as much as I am; when it’s time to eat, Head over to Juicy crab Restaurant so yummy. The sauce omg butter, Cajun me, please. Seafood is always my go-to when In Atlanta and Soul food; try Flying Biscuit in Midtown. Ponce Market in downtown Atlanta has plenty of food shops and a great place to take pictures with incredible scenery, and The largest Aquarium resides in Georgia; be sure to check that out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
ShoutOut To The city of Atlanta, Georgia. The love and talent here are inspiring. I learn so much in This city every time. Mary Seats, aka Mz Skittlez, who I consider a mentor is the Founder of Gurl Mobb Group, and  She played a major role for me in being a businesswoman. The people I’ve come Across in Atlanta have each made a difference in my life. Thank You. I’m ready to make history here.
