We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
my thought process behind being a business owner was honestly i never had a fair boss. i could never take vacations when i wanted and to be able to hire deaf individuals and domestic violence survivors. The next reason was to just take a leap of faith… I said if they can do it I can too why not.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company is called Terplyfe llc , where our motto is Speak to everyone not just those who can hear you. Our mission is to provide excellent language services and be the liason between the deaf and the hearing cultures in all settings. We strive to assist the deaf across the nation. I have a unique platform for the red carpet, all red carpet and celebrity events i usually post-up and teach people their names in asl on the red carpet. The celebrities’ love it because they all know some sort of sign language … its fun!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend actually is here all the time from NJ ( where i was born and raised) but I am a public figure and host in the music industry so we go everywhere. first we always hit Zuri on modays with Qt ent., then tuesdays are for tacos taco tuesday. We usually will hit the club im on the flyer to then we eat. We are big eaters so we’ve seen the best of the best when it comes to food. The Garden Room, breakfast club, chops, and so much more . Sat and sun are for brunching. Escobar has great food and so does milk and honey but we are island girls so we chose negrill on sundays!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Really my support system is few and far in between. I did this alone and encouraging yourself is the hardest part, but if I had to chose I would say my mother and my girlfriend Eboni. My mother is a kind soul very classy, well spoken and does whatever she can for you as she did me, she raised me very well and to make sure i never stop …even when your satisfied you can level up.
Eboni is always about my mental health and staying balanced in work and life she is always there when something doesnt go the way i planned
