We had the good fortune of connecting with Roxane Hollosi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roxane, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important thing for an artist is to keep creating… continue to challenge yourself and don’t let a day go by where you are idle in your creativity.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
“My Art is a visual document of the emotional and spiritual energies  I encountered in that moment of creating.” In a World that seems only to shout, my work honors the beauty and the suppressed whispers of Nature. My spiritual sensibilities and respect for the Earth reflect the Native American influences I encountered growing up in Southwestern MN. I visually document the complex energies living in and around me. I create abstracted interpretations of these energies using wood, metals, paper, canvas, found objects and manipulated plastics. I want my work to nudge at the primal sensibilities of my viewer. My work is inspired by the Nature around me and the Nature within me. It is meant to encourage others to see something; investigate something; be curious about something, in order to make visual discoveries and open doors to spiritual ones. It advocates for taking a good hard look and consider realities beyond your own truth; to the participation in something bigger, more universal.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I like the nature aspects of Atlanta. The Chattahoochee river is a favorite. Any of the many access points i.e Cochran Scholes, Columns drive, are worth a visit. The Atlanta Beltline is another “city” favorite. Stone Mountain and Kennasaw mountain will not disappoint. outdoor eating like Flowerchild, Sandy Springs, will give your a healthy boost to your day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thanks to my husband Todd, and boys Grant and Parker… for their unwavering support in my art pursuits.
