We had the good fortune of connecting with College Barbiie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi College, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Thats a great question as for me I know to keep going because there are goals that I have for myself. When there are specific plans that you have inshore for yourself you do everything in your might to complete them. I am the type of woman that do what I have to do for myself. When you’ve lived your whole life where people don’t believe in you, giving up is never an option. This is what gives me motivation to keep moving forward everyday. Always know that accomplishing your goals won’t always be easy, but remember to pick up where you left off.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I stand behind my Brand College Barbiie whole heartedly, I created this brand to encourage women around me to help them to understand that they are beautiful and that no matter what your circumstance may be you are phenomenal. College Barbiie means Believing and Realizing Beauty Is In Everyone. My life story is what inspired me to come up with Brand Name. I am also a Social media Influencer that have grown my social media accounts from 1,300 followers to over 20,ooo followers in just 3 months. What set me apart from others is that I truly portray myself as the Authentic Me; great sense of humor and loving, laidback vibe. I am truly a humble woman who loves to shine my light on others. I am most excited about the journey that I have ahead of me and how much I’ve grown as a person. I am not the same woman as I was 5 years ago and a lot of people can’t accept that, but either you jump on the bandwagon or get left. I am where I am today because I learned to live for me and to except that I am not for everyone but to continue to work hard toward my goals. I want the world to know that no matter what you’re going through in life always remember that trouble don’t last always. And that if you work hard enough your treasure will fall in your hands. And especially for my ladies out there remember you are Beautiful and you are in control of your happiness. Please protect your peace at all costs. Last but not least, goals can be accomplished without the support from loved ones; you’ve heard this from College Barbiie.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area I would take them to Toast if I was previously aware so that I can book reservations. We’ll have a couple cocktails and our favorite breakfast specialty. —-Not Drinking and Driving though. After, being there we will go and get facials at Beauty Loft Spa. We may go shopping Lenox around noon and To settle our evening we will go have a picnic in Botanical Gardens. Some of the most exciting things to do in my opinion will be to visit Sweet Water Creek in Lithia, visiting the High Museum of Art, visiting Ponce City Market , Georgia Aquarium, Fox Theatre and most definitely The Battery.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly, I would like to give thanks To God for being the head of my life and glorifying me on this journey. Secondly, I would love to give a shoutout to my wonderful Great Aunt Lillie Fuqua and the Late Great Ronald Fuqua. As my aunt would say “stay focused, you can do anything you put your mind to Missy, we love you” The encouragement from my uncle was phenomenal as well, as he always told me, ” God has something special for you in your future, you are going to be somebody and most of all God Bless You, Peace Be On To You.” Thirdly, I would love to give a shoutout to three of the most fantastic educators that truly believed in me that made me feel like I was more just a number or student. Kay Jones Matthews and Vivian Wilder contributed to my happiness and encouragement in the 6th grade of my middle school year and Stephanie R. Thomas helped me to find my destiny senior year of high school. That was when I truly realized that I can be anything that I can do anything I put my mind to. It doesn’t always take a village, but to have at least 1-2 people that truly believe in you.. Last but not least, I would love to give a shoutout to this very special person to me that has helped develop College Barbiie into who she is on today; you know who you are. Thank You all for truly believing in me, this is the beginning of an Spectacular Journey.
