We had the good fortune of connecting with Abree Vance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abree, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
I can honestly say that being consistent and always showing up everyday, is key to creating the success that you desire for your business, team, and for yourself. Also, having the dedication, drive and knowledge of knowing that what I am doing is leaving a mark on the world and those around me therefore I will not fail.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the proud owner of Sonari Vir Alle – a clothing brand based in Detroit, MI. I am also the owner of The Detroit Styling Co., a personal styling and production company, also based in Detroit.

I am honestly always so excited and proud of how far this journey has brought me personally and within business. Sometimes it feels unreal to actually be a fashion designer and personal stylist.

As a little girl I used to always dream of having my own clothing brand and becoming a celebrity stylist, so to be walking this journey and living my dreams everyday is literally a true blessing.

Before launching Sonari Vir Alle, I developed my brand everyday for a year before releasing anything. The journey was very tough to get to where I am today. Everyone talks about being a business owner and having their own company or brand, but you never really know how tough it can be until you’re walking your own path. Having to make decisions on your own for the good of your company is probably one of the hardest things to do because you never want to fail, realistically you will have times of doubt, struggle and times you will second guess yourself, but it’s all about believing in yourself and your craft and being secure in what you bring to the world that makes all the difference.

When I decided to bring The Detroit Styling Co. to life, it was a very easy decision. Styling is something I was already doing for Sonari Vir Alle for my photoshoots and sometimes outside of that I would help style others, so I just fell more in love with that craft as time went on.

The best part about running both businesses is working with new models, actors, artist and creatives! I’ve always been a very creative person, so to bring life to others ideas as well as my own is honestly so fulfilling!

What I would want the world to know about my brand and my story is that, no matter where you are in life, if you have a dream or a vision just go for it! You will literally spend so much time dreaming and hoping that you’ll miss you chance of oppourtunity! I never thought in a million years I would ever actually be here. My goal is always to help bring out the light in others, and restore their confidence in who they are and loving themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So I absolutely LOVE food! My go-to places I love visiting is Pinky’s Rooftop in Royal Oak, MI and I cannot live without Hudson Cafe or Ima Noodles in Downtown Detroit! They all have amazing food and drinks and there service is always amazing! I love going to nature preserves, fishing, and sitting by the water. When I’m not working I love to unplug and just be one with nature. It brings me so much peace.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thankfully for the support and genuine love I get from friends and family. I wouldn’t have the success I have now if it wasn’t for Jasmine and Marcus my photographers, also Tra my amazing videographer, as well as Faith my dedicated makeup artist, and to all my models, thank you!
