We had the good fortune of connecting with Nalaysia Cannonier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nalaysia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was building generational wealth for my daughter. Giving her the ability to grow, learn and not have to hustle as hard as I did. I started working at 15 legally at 12 years old I was doing hair and babysitting just to have my own money. I have had every job you could think of after having my daughter I knew I had to push harder and become her role model. I am a strong believer in leading by example hoping she would take heed and carve her entrepreneur footprints on this planet. In 2019 I birthed Lilly Lash Extensions, now known as The Fairy Glam Mother LLC. My daughter’s name is Lillyanna also part owner of a company at the age of 3.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Lash Artist, Social Media Manager & Content Creator. What sets me apart from others is that I care about my client’s natural lash health. I help them grow their natural lashes with Fairy Serum and make sure they are well educated on how to properly manage their lash extensions. I don’t follow the latest lash tends or spiffs, I follow what my clients want not what I think Instagram will like. A happy customer means a happy business and reoccurring clients I have had clients who have been with me for years. Was it easy building a business from the ground up hell, no, There were times I gave up on myself, times I felt I would never make it as a lash tech. There was a time I was in the hospital for over a week and pulled off a photoshoot and prep a day later still not at 100 percent. I say that to say this no matter how you feel, where you come from, or what you go through you will always pull through if you pray, believe, keep your eyes on the prize and have a great support system! “Everyone delights in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admits to the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty” – Mya Angelou

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take her to Mejavos my favorite restaurant on the pond with such a night vibe. We would hike Kennesaw mountain that next morning, after we would visit the Botanical Garden, selfie museum, and high art museum. I’m a big kid at heart and so are most of my friends next stop is the Main event for some laser tag and gravity ropes you can never go wrong there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this shoutout to Lillyanna , my monster girl. This is her world I just live in it.
