We had the good fortune of connecting with VeronicaMarie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi VeronicaMarie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my faith. My faith in God keeps me going. When i want to quit my faith reminds me why I’m doing this. Being a makeupartist i get to talk to so many women and men. I get pour into them. I enhance their beauty inside and out.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So as a professional makeupartist what sets me apart from some other artist is my time management. Along with my skills i do it in a timely manner. I understand time is money so i don’t want to waste mine or my client’s. I love to hear my clients tell me how relaxing it is to sit in my chair. Or how comfortable i make them feel. I feel I’m at a good place my career right now. It definitely wasn’t easy. There were a lot of failures disappointments and scary moments. But i have an amazing support system. One thing i tell up and coming artist is always further your education. I still take makeup classes. Things change consistently so you wanna always be in the know. My story is i turned my passion into my career which is leading me to my purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my best friends come in to town the first place we would go is Pop The Cork wine tours. We love some good wine. Most of my friends are all entrepreneurs/creators so we would visit the GurlMobb Museum. That way we could create some fire content. For food we would go to Roc South. I love their lamb chops. And end it The Sky Lounge rooftop. We can sit talk and enjoy the scenery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to my children. Lanaya, Alannah, Tanea and Demitrius. Their love support and understanding is one of the driving pieces in my story. Honorable mention is mother Brenda Acree.
