We had the good fortune of connecting with Akiliah Richards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Akiliah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks can be fun and yet unpredictable!. I started out as the assistant to Thee Tony Robinson. I had no idea I would have transitioned to one of his best tattoo artist/piercer but taking that chance changed my life. As unpredictable, challenging and intense my career has been so far I have to say is was the risk worth taking. “Life’s a gamble, gotta roll the dice till you die”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a tattoo artist and body piercer! The best might I add. I love all my clients, even the difficult ones. They keep this whole experience worth it. From adding small body modifications to designing full concept tattoos I love the idea of someone leaving Inkorporated Tattoo Shop with a boost of confidence. These times are so hectic so to grant someone a little bit of sunshine in a tattoo or piercing is a great accomplishment. It is not always easy designing exactly what someone wants but my team helps me through any and all challenges.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best spot to start is Inkorporated Tattoo Shop just outside of Atlanta !! We have the best open conversations with the best music selections by Myke Stallone. Food stops for me consist of Slutty Vegan or when Im feeling like being more local I’ll go to this amazing Cuban Diner close by

Best drinking spots would be on Edgewood or Coper Cove
