We had the good fortune of connecting with Kioka Render and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kioka, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
In a world full of judgement and the wanting of acceptance, I believe our business offers a much needed foundation of self empowerment. Our mission is to empower women and men with improved confidence, better health, and the choice to make positive body transformations. We offer an experience that can be life changing. Your mental and physical health and happiness start from within and we are here to support your full journey.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always had a healing, nurturing spirit. Nursing and teaching has been in my family for generations and I think it is a blessing from our Most High! I became a mom and wife at a young age so my dreams were put to the side temporarily. My desire to become an amazing nurse never dwindled. I have experience as a CNA, Medical assistant, and Registered Nurse. I think its very important to understand multiple faucets of healthcare to offer our patients the best experience. I have also served as a charge nurse at our local Piedmont Facility. My experience as a bed side nurse has given me a great perspective as to how to better serve my clients. It also gave me the edge and experience to learn how to educate others on any spectrum of learning. Versatility and genuine interest in the health and happiness of others it what sets me apart. I want to meet you right where you are on your journey in life, find out what your health goal is, and then change your trajectory or support you to get you where you want to be!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend and I would definitely have our dinners right at home with some of my families homecooked food. We would have at least 2 days at Kurved By K, Beauty and Wellness to restore our mental and physical wellbeing. We would take a few classes at ClosetPoler to feed our inner goddess. Lastly, we will take off to some beach with a boombox and dance our nights away!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have an amazing empowerment team! It starts from my foundation which are my parents and grandparents. God has surrounded me with family and friends to push me towards my dreams. My husband is an unmovable force supporting me in achieving and understanding my goals. I also want to give a special shoutout to Ms. Hand. She is a leading female entrepreneur. She saw and believed in the brand and services I wanted to create. It is an amazing feeling when others feel and believe in something you are passionate about. I’m definitely not on this journey alone. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!!
