We had the good fortune of connecting with Camille Black and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Camille, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Organization, prioritization and clear communication are 3 key habits that have helped me succeed in this industry. With real estate being such a dynamic industry you have to be on your toes at all times. There never seems to be enough hours in the day…unless you are organized. I ensure that I keep all of my client’s files and documents up to date and aligned with compliance. You also have to know how prioritize your long list of to-do’s and understand that not everything can be completed today. I always take the time to sit back and make sure I understand the amount of time it can take to complete each task then prioritize accordingly. Finally, clear communication is essential to thrive. Purchasing or selling a home is a huge milestone and you always want to make sure that your clients are comfortable and feel that they are well informed with everything involving their transaction. At the same time, you have to know how to balance communication because you never want to over-communicate to where your client feels overwhelmed. All 3 of these now habits were developmental areas at one point in my career; I am truly proud of the amount of growth I have seen within myself to continue to succeed in this industry.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a young, passionate & enthusiastic licensed real estate agent based in Atlanta, Georgia. Although I was born & raised in Houston, Texas, I easily fell in love with the city of Atlanta when I arrived for my undergraduate studies. With a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Spelman College, I now strive to combine my extensive background in research, sales & marketing with my passion of assisting others. I aspire to not only find you a home that you will fall in love with, but also a home where you will create memories that will last a lifetime. I hold myself & my brand to reflect the values instilled in me at a young age; to live my life with a honest mindset, hardworking character, & pure heart in order to navigate throughout this industry.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You can never go wrong with an Atlanta United soccer game for a good time! I have played soccer my entire life and am so happy to be apart of the 5 stripe community. The games are so lively, vibrant and exciting; how could you not want to participate in watching the beautiful game in a beautiful stadium?
I also love to visit rooftops around the city; Reverb, Tom Dick & Hanks, Ponce City Market. Anywhere I can view the beautiful Atlanta skyline is always a scenic site for me. Atlanta has a great outdoor environment as well. I love visiting Stone Mountain Park for a great workout or Piedmont Park for a relaxing day in the sun!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d be absolutely nothing without my family. I can never thank them enough for their constant support no matter what I am trying to accomplish; they are always there for me. To my friends, mentors, Spelman sisters, & Norman & Associates brokerage the guidance you all have provided me with is a true blessing. I received such great advice that not only helps me in real estate, but life as well. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for all that you do; I am forever grateful!
