We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Angelica and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I saw something missing in the CBD and Skincare industry. I wanted to create an experience in the spa industry that hasn’t been done before by having an all CBD/Hemp infused spa. The goal is to educate and show results with infused skincare. Society has been taught this false narrative of what cannabis is but I founded CannaBSpa to shine a light on its natural benefits and healing properties. CannaBSpa offers uniquely relaxing facials, skincare treatments and massages that help reduce any skin concerns while also healing your overall wellness.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
CBD/Hemp changed my life in 2017. I use to suffer from anxiety and depression but was later introduced to CBD/Hemp as an alternative to reduce what I was dealing with. I felt better immediately and soon after took an interest in learning more about cannabis. Cannabis has a variety of wonderful benefits like it’s anti-inflammatory properties so I wanted to create a brand that could speak to that. Cannabis isn’t just something that gets you high. I wanted to provide a safe place in the spa industry, a place where cannabis isn’t usually talked about. Being in this industry already has its challenges when trying to push your brand but it never stopped me. I learned to put my big panties on and get in people face’s in order for my company to grow. Being in my comfort zone was no longer acceptable. I’ve been able to help people not only with skin concerns but overall well-being by introducing this natural alternative. There’s still a lot of work to be done with helping people understand cannabis but we’re almost there and I believe in what my spa will bring to others. CannaBSpa is bigger than me now because it can make a real difference in people’s lives.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being from Atlanta, the best thing you can do is to make sure you experience it all. The culture and different foods is unmatched because we have it all. I love the city seen so shopping and eating at Atlantic Station is a must. Experiencing the Georgia Aquarium is essential while here, nothing like it & atleast make sure you attend a couple of football games in Atlanta. Football season in Atlanta is definitely eventful. When it comes to food, you can’t go without Slutty Vegan, Roc South, King Crab ATL, Big Dave’s Philly Cheesesteaks and Chin Chin just to name my top places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely would like to give a shoutout to my business partners. I definitely wanted to build a relationship with companies in the cannabis industry and ones making a difference to help CannaBSpa grow like S.W.A.G Essential
The Georgia Hemp Company
cbdMD
including great professionals I’ve met along the way like
Coach Swan (CannaBistro)
Mehka (CashColorCannabis)
Dr. Key (The Village Market ATL)
Danielle & Brandi (UNOIA)
