We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Todd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As a registered and licensed dietitian, our business is built on health and wellness. Our clients receive pre-made, pre-portioned, meals that are fresh and delish which help meet nutrition goals but also reduces the burden of having to cook or even think about the next meal. The convenience and peace of mind Perfectly Portioned Nutrition’s meals provide is invaluable to many.

What should our readers know about your business?
Perfectly Portioned Nutrition is a female owned and operated meal-prep and nutrition company. I am a registered dietitian nutritionist with over a decade of experience. When not sweating in the kitchen, I work as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinated Program Director at Georgia State University in the Department of Nutrition. Education, nutrition counseling and culinary nutrition have been and remain the focus of my career path. The biggest lesson I have learned since starting this business is that the lessons keep coming! I have learned that it takes immense self-confidence, grit, and determination to push through when there are challenges. I have learned that just because you have a fantastic product, that’s not enough to have a successful business. I have learned that a loyal employee is more valuable than a talented one and that I cannot do it all. Whether or not PPN is here in two years or two decades, I would want the world to know that the team and the client are at the core of our brand. We understand what it means to be “well,” and our product is a testament to that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is constantly growing and unfortunately, with 2 full time jobs and a 7-year-old, I don’t get to explore as much as I would like to. If I had to name a few, I love the Beltline, Sotto Sotto, Il Giallo, 10 Degrees South, Yebo, Mojave, Rumi’s and downtown Roswell. Some bucket list items include: Puttshack, Fowling and Heirloom Market BBQ.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is no one person but certainly some honorable mentions! My husband is my calming agent. He has a way of simplifying even the most stressful situations (it is SO annoying). I also have a strong group of goal oriented female friends who serve as an ear to listen to, a shoulder to cry on, or a buddy to have a glass of wine with.
