We had the good fortune of connecting with Jave’l Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jave’l, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal is to simply be a mogul in the entertainment industry. I believe I have many gifts and talents where I cannot limit myself to one occupation, so I want to take everything I have to offer and create content that inspires the youth and the black community, just in different aspects. I want to direct movies, produce songs, host events, write books, and simply use everything god has blessed me with to impact the world in a tremendous way. I believe impact comes from what you do and how you do it, instead of how many things you do. Although I look up to moguls such as Diddy, Steve Harvey, and Tyler Perry, I plan to use the things i’ve learned from them as well as other successful individuals to become the biggest mogul to walk this earth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to consider myself as a visionary. Everything I produce is art. I still have some molding to do, but each and every day I wake up is a step closer to the life I am manifesting to live. Life hasn’t been easy since the death of my mother, but it continuously allows me to tap into my emotions which helps me tap into another level of creativity I’ve never seen from myself before. Everyday I learn something new, which I am blessed to do because everyday I’m getting 1% closer to my dream. I want the world to know that no matter what happens in your life you must keep god at the center of your life if you truly want to see your life change. I want to be the mogul of life, giving others the opportunity to see that even if you come from a small town that nobody knows and lose some of the most important people in your life, that your life is not over. I want to be an inspiration to others to allow god to show them their purpose and to live in their vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So to start our morning I would take them to Atlanta Breakfast Club. They always have amazing energy as well as some of the best breakfast food Atlanta has to offer. Then I would take them to the best mall in Atlanta, Lenox Mall. We would do a little shopping and a little walking around and then get something to eat from the food court. After that we would probably go to the Botanical Gardens and enjoy the lovely scenery. To end our night, we would go to one of the Clubs in Atlanta and enjoy ourselves with some hookah and good vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would first like to shoutout god, as he is the head of my life and has continued to give me grace throughout my matriculation through life. Although I have not always done the right thing, he continues to forgive me for my sins and blesses me time and time again. I would secondly like to shoutout my mother. Without her being the dedicated queen that she is, I would have not been able to tap into my own gifts and talents that could propel me to be the change this world desperately needs. Watching her raise me as a single mother showed me that anything is possible as long as you keep god first and have tunnel vision despite all else. I would also like to thank my grandmother for helping my mother raise me and mold me into the young man I am today. I would next like to shoutout my friends. To Daryl, Darius, TeJordan, Jolisa and Coretta, I want to say thank you all for inspiring me and speaking greatness into my life. You all hold a huge place in my heart and I thank you all. I would also like to thank my best-friend, DaChanel Sutton. You’ve been a huge inspiration in my life as I watch you defeat all the odds and do anything and everything you please. You’ve been by my side at all times and I am beyond grateful for your presence in my life. There was times I didn’t believe in myself and you built me up and I thank you for that. I thank everyone who has contributed to my success. This is only the beginning.
