We had the good fortune of connecting with Darren Cobb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darren, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being that I’m the first and only black journalist to accumulate 200k on Instagram in one year, I knew that it was important for me to create a business where I could help other entrepreneurs and companies achieve similar accomplishments. Whenever God gives you a talent as such it’s your duty to bless others

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been a full time entrepreneur for almost two years now! It took a lot of perseverance to get to this destination, but my faith and belief was inspired by my credentials as well as the fact that I’ve made accomplishments that haven’t been met before. Lessons learned includes the fact that growth is always required as an entrepreneur. I’m totally different from any other Social Media Manager simply because I’m the only one that’s built an Instagram account of 200 K in one year as well as the fact that I genuinely want to see all of my people win…that’s rare!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like this question! I love Atlanta…mainly because I’m a foodie and there are so many great restaurants here including Wadada ATL, Old Lady Gang, Mary Mac’s Tea Room, amongst others. Apache is a great place to hang out for date night and to meet creatives. East Atlanta Village has also become a favorite hang out place for me as well as Edgewood Ave

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my parents for their unconditional love and support as well as sacrifices to help me reach my goals as well as my alma mater, Savannah State University for instilling within me the knowledge and experiences necessary to become as successful as I’ve become in the world of journalism.
