We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaja Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaja, how do you think about risk?
If the desired reward is greater than the potential consequence, I’m taking the risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the moment I’m currently working on my first large scale design project. For this project I redesigned my apartment into a place that would inspire growth, creativity and collaboration. We built and designed all of the furniture and lighting fixtures, and we are also launching a YouTube Chanel where we will be teaching others how to build their own DIY furniture.

I got to where I am today professionally by just always taking on various personal creative projects, and by never wanting to work for anyone else.

Some lessons I’ve learned along the way:

-Share knowledge

We believe that the world is moving towards an age where valuable knowledge is given away for free. With the help of the internet, we now have access to an infinite amount of information.
Through the use of art, design, and various forms of media, we (Weleve) plan on pushing society to a degree where knowledge is shared.
