We had the good fortune of connecting with Christlie Ganthier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christlie, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
Once you get married and have kids, your life is over. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! I am a Haitian Black woman!!! All I’ve witnessed are strong working women my entire life. As I grow my firm and invest my time in expanding, I can honestly say that having a baby and being married propelled my purpose. There is no limit to life. God gave me a great life and I determine my limits.

What should our readers know about your business?
Christlie G. Consulting LLC is a human capital firm focused on people operations, organizational change management, and compliance regulation. What sets me apart from others is my ability to thrive on bad news and tough times. I have mastered the art of hearing “no” because that is one step closer to “invoice paid.”

Starting this firm was NOT easy. I don’t have a glamorous story. I got fired from my job and my husband told me that I have 30 days to focus on my business. I haven’t looked back since. Being an analytical thinker has helped me overcome challenges immensely. Once I learned who my avatar customer was, then I knew what my marketing strategy needed to be.

I’ve learned that my light is meant to shine, not to be dimmed for anyone else. If someone can’t stand your light, blind them!

I want people to know that I did NOT do this alone. I stand on the prayers of my elders, family, and friends. Christlie G. Consulting LLC is here for now and forever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend is visiting, I am taking them straight to the SPA!!!!!!! Most of my close friends are married with kids. All we want to do is relax, drink, eat, and shop! First, we would be waking up from a modern hotel in Hoboken or west new York, new jersey. Brunch would happen at Soco AFTER passing the 1-2 hour wait time LOL. Then shop in Soho. Take a break at ANY spa in NYC. Getting a full body massage is always on my itinerary. Finally, end my night at dinner spot in downtown jersey city near the waterfront.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are too many people that have directly and indirectly influenced my life. First, special shout out to my husband. He truly is my superhero. The man who constantly forces me to see my wings rather than my scars. He is the reason why I can confidently grow my firm. Second, my mother, father, mother-in-law, and father-in-law are my pillars. They encamp around me constantly highlighting my strength and beauty. Third, Serge Aime for serving as my first mentor. Although a brother, he was still my father… and still is. Fourth, my sisters/ friends Ruth, Guemallie, Ketsia, Guidelle, Shnee, Jemima, Brittany, Nicole, Gaelle, Karenn, Ariel, Lana, and Esther thank you for loving me and encouraging me. Your love and support is everything!
