I currently just started my career as an animation artist. I recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s in Animation. I want to be an Art Director; that is the end goal for me. Right now, I am a color designer for Disney TV Animation, and it is a perfect path to being an art director. This is a phenomenal question. Honestly, I have no end goals. I keep goals written down in my office and on my phone. I am always brainstorming on more goals and how to achieve them. It is so motivational for me to create goals, achieve them, and create more. Ultimately, I never want to be stagnant and comfortable and I want to continue walking in my purpose. Keeping a constant list of goals will always ensure some type of growth. At this stage in my life, I am not title driven. I am more so chasing career satisfaction. I am currently a SR. HR Business Partner and yes, I see myself being a Director but I may end up being much more than that! As long as I am not underemployed, underpaid, and unhappy, I am happy, extremely happy. Where I want to be at the end of my career is where God has called me to be. I’ve learned through my journey that as much as we plan and prep for things sometimes they just don’t work out the way we feel like they should. My word for 2021 is to be impactful and I feel like that word is going to span across my entire career. The desire that God has placed on my heart is to be a daytime talkshow host. I feel like that’s my purpose. More than anything, I hope that with that as a talk show host, I’ll be able to impact peoples lives to be better. A talk show saved my life and I hope through my journey and career goals I’m able to do that for somebody else.
