The idea of creating MaXX Capacity Design Studio came from my business partner (Serrita Lindsey) and I ( Shandra Elam) having a collective vision. The vision to customize personal apparel to the consumer market which consisted of t- shirts, jackets, hats, a variety of dtf transfer designs, and promotional branding. The inception of Road 2 Resilient stemmed from an unforeseen event in 2019, when I was unexpectedly laid off from my job as a Physician Associate. This experience led me on a journey from feeling rejected to cultivating resilience. Along the way, I documented my personal growth and mental health improvement in the form of a book. It serves as a testament to this notion, inspiring others to embark on their own journey towards resilience and encouraging them to embrace the unpredictability of life. I came up with the business idea for The Charm Agency and Lexxi Charm as a result of my personal transformation journey. I realized that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and I wanted to create a platform where people could showcase their unique beauty and feel empowered. I have been an expat for a long part of my life. It all started when I was 2 years old, on and off. I felt different as a child because of the different cultures I grew up in and things didn’t change as I became an adult. One day I realized I was not alone, there were many of us, living a life abroad and having roots in many countries.
