The most important thing that business has taught me is that you learn from your mistakes. Making mistakes isn’t always a bad thing as long you learn from them. If I didn’t learn from it, then I wouldn’t be where I am today. One of the major mistakes I made was buying too much product at once. When you start a business please do not buy too many products. The most important lesson I have learned throughout my career, and in life for that matter, is to not be afraid to ask for help or use your voice – to be honest. If there is something you want to learn or try, ask about it. If something is troubling you or makes you uncomfortable, speak about it. Growth is important, as is one’s safety and mental health. This is actually an easy one. I can speak to this on both the corporate and entrepreneurial level. I’ll speak briefly on the latter. One important lesson I learned building Battle Box is to never allow yourself to rely 100% on a resource. This was my 1st brick and mortar rodeo. Even though I consider myself being a resourceful individual, I didn’t know a lot of things about the fitness industry. I had to heavily rely on what I thought at the time was a valuable asset. The most important lesson I’ve learned is not to rush. You must remain consistent, but don’t rush anything. Don’t rush the creativity and don’t rush the business side either.
