We had the good fortune of connecting with Vontrice Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vontrice, how do you think about risk?
When it comes to taking a risk my motto I live by is ” bigger the risk, bigger the reward”. Taking a risk has played a huge role in my life/career. After corporate America let me go I was in a panic for the first week. Even though I was already far into my real estate business; I was afraid of not having my 9 to 5. Despite the panic and what if, I took a risk and put my all into both of my businesses. Taking that one risk has made me more confident in taking more. I have a real estate business, dispatching business and even tried the Airbnb game out. Its been two years of being an entrepreneur and I love every moment of it. So to whomever is reading this…..have faith, believe in yourself, and take that risk!!!!!!!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I provide discounted properties for investors looking to invest in Atlanta, Ga. I also run a dispatching company where we book loads and handle the back office work for Owner Operators all over the U.S. I really feel like what separates my businesses from others is how I build rapport with with my clients. I hear it so often. I’ve paid to get potential clients grass cut and sent flowers to the estate holders of the deceased. I always try to add value. I am most excited about creating more jobs for others in 2022. I got here today from having faith, believing in myself and consistency. It was far from easy! I tell myself all the time, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it!!! I overcome challenges by talking to my therapist, praying and most of all fuel from my passion. When you have a passion for anything you do, the trials and tribulations do not scare you. Lessons I have learned on the way is…if you get the answer NO, 9 times out of 10 you’re talking to the wrong person. I want the world to know everything is not always peaches and cream. People you see flourishing now, experienced the roadblocks as well. They just found another route and did not give up on themselves. I want people to know my brands are built with love, sweat and tears….KEEP GOING!!!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely have to take them to the 9 mile station in Ponce City Market…best views and drinks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give a huge shoutout to all of my mentors. I am a firm believer in getting a mentor/ life coach in whatever you want to do. Be around people doing better than you and already doing the things you inspire to do as well. Shoutout to my Real Estate mentors Chris Skalicky and Jason Palliser. Both two great guys! I met Chris in a Real Estate group and took off. We have closed sooo many deals together. I was introduced to Jason and his 2DayBlueprint by Chris. The 2dayBlueprint change my life by the way. I definitely recommend and will post a link for that! https://www.2dayblueprint.com/home22767446
I also want to acknowledge my awesome Dispatching mentor Andy Weets. He showed me the ropes and helped me run the successful dispatching company I have today.
Thank you to my sister Summer Washington, she works with me and I am very thankful in her role in both of my businesses. Thank you to my son for grooming me into the wonderful mother and business woman I am today. Thank you for my praying mother and grandmother. All praises to God for he is always providing the resources!
