Meet Tommie Young | Group fitness instructor/ author / Cdl driver

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tommie Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tommie, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Forever Young Fitness helps the community by creating safe, positive, and motivating spaces for people to improve both their physical and mental health. Through community fitness events like “We Outside Wednesday: The Midweek Movement,” group fitness classes, walking events, and motivational outreach, we encourage people of all fitness levels to come together, move their bodies, and support one another.
Our mission goes beyond workouts we focus on building confidence, discipline, consistency, and healthier lifestyles while helping people feel seen, supported, and connected. We also promote mental wellness by creating environments where people can relieve stress, clear their minds, and grow through fitness and community.
In addition, Forever Young Fitness works to inspire youth and families through fitness education, motivational speaking, and wellness programs designed to encourage healthier habits for future generations. Our goal is to continue making fitness accessible, uplifting, and impactful for the entire community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I currently work full-time as a CDL driver while also building my fitness career through Forever Young Fitness LLC and Crunch Fitness. At Crunch Fitness, I teach Ride Studio cycling classes, where I focus on bringing high energy, motivation, and an experience that pushes people mentally and physically.
Through Forever Young Fitness, I provide personal training, group fitness, and community wellness events focused on helping people improve physically and mentally through consistency, discipline, and positive energy. I’m proud of being able to balance multiple careers while continuing to grow a brand that impacts people in and outside of the gym.
What sets me apart is my relatability and passion for people. I understand what it’s like to work long hours while still trying to chase goals and stay healthy, so I try to inspire others by showing that fitness can fit into everyday life no matter your background or schedule

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting my area for a week, I’d definitely show them a mix of fitness, food, nature, and good energy because that’s what the city is all about to me. One of the first places I’d take them is one of my Ride Studio classes at Crunch Fitness so they could experience the atmosphere and energy firsthand. I’d also bring them out to one of our “We Outside Wednesday” community walks because it’s a great example of how people here come together through health and wellness.
For food and hanging out, I’d keep it local and chill with some good brunch spots, smoothie spots, and places with good vibes and music. I’m also big on outdoor activities, so I’d probably take them hiking, to local parks and trails, or even riding 4-wheelers because that’s one of my favorite hobbies outside of fitness.
What makes the area special to me is the people and the potential. There are a lot of talented, hardworking individuals here, and I enjoy being around environments where people are motivating each other, networking, and trying to grow. I think some of the best experiences here come from community events, fitness culture, and simply being around positive energy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A special shoutout definitely goes to Crunch Fitness. Crunch played a major role in helping me discover my purpose and passion for motivating people through fitness. What started as an opportunity turned into something life changing for me. Teaching Ride Studio classes and being in that environment helped me grow not only as a fitness professional, but also as a leader, speaker, and motivator. Crunch gave me a platform to connect with people from all walks of life and showed me the impact fitness can truly have on someone mentally and physically.
